"I grew up homeschooled in a country town with no access to art classes. I studied books on the Italian Renaissance and developed art inspired by classical scenes and dramatic lighting. After years of wishing and waiting, I received formal artistic training in college and earned my BFA from the University of South Carolina in 2018. In the years since I've exhibited my work in numerous solo exhibitions, and attended residencies in Italy, New York, and South Carolina. I've developed community based art projects aimed to break the barrier between viewers and artists (Art In Motion), and created an ongoing series (Letters) to connect the world. I'm currently based in Baltimore, MD and an MFA candidate at Towson University.
Art is the purest way I've learned to connect with people. I use my creativity to inspire people to create, empathize, and dream. That is my goal, at least. Let me know how I'm doing."
